In the Straight and Curly group on Facebook Jade asked: Would love a podcast on goal setting and getting things done etc.  I’m great at making goals, but then come to a month later and realise I haven’t actually done anything towards them.

This was a weird one for Carly and Kelly to wrap their heads around because they’re both people who set goals, and then just naturally do whatever is needed to achieve those goals. They did, however, come up with the following tips:

  • Be realistic
  • Check your goals are something YOU want to do/achieve
  • Give yourself easy wins along the way
  • Build good habits around your goals so you don’t have to rely on motivation
  • Set SMART goals:

S – specific, significant, stretching
M – measurable, meaningful, motivational
A – agreed upon, attainable, achievable, acceptable, action-oriented
R – realistic, relevant, reasonable, rewarding, results-oriented
T – time-based, time-bound, timely, tangible, trackable
